Be Local
Steamboat

/ Print Campaign

While a significant portion of the population of Steamboat Springs is seasonal, the notion of being considered a local holds a special appeal for people.

There’s certainly no consensus as to what being a local means. Some would say you're only a local after you’ve called the valley home for many years. Some say you're a local after you survive your first winter. Regardless, it’s a special place, and people want to feel like they belong.

The newspaper had been around almost as long as the town itself. What better way to keep up with local affairs? That was the idea behind this campaign: to associate the idea of reading the local paper with being a local, whether you live there or not.
